Tedarian Johnson was not highly recruited out of high school in Raymond, Miss.
So when schools such as Texas Tech and Cincinnati started showing late interest in the Hinds (Miss.) Community College defensive lineman, Hinds recruiting coordinator Lee Wilbanks wasn't sure if Johnson would stick with the Jayhawks, who had already secured a commitment.
"We were about the only school that offered him [out of high school]," Wilbanks said, "so it was all a new experience for him."
