Katy (Texas) Cinco Ranch running back Jamel James is back on the market.
The ESPN 300 running back, who is ranked No. 22 in the nation at his position, is no longer committed to Notre Dame, according to his high school coach, Don Clayton.
James, the No. 232 player in the ESPN 300, was originally committed to Arkansas but decommitted after the Razorbacks fired then-head coach Bobby Petrino amidst a scandal. He committed to Notre Dame on July 28.
"He just decided that he felt like it was probably going to be too cold," Clayton said. "That's about all I got out of him."
Clayton said that James has mentioned Arizona State, Mississippi, UCLA and Washington as possible landing spots.
