UTSA was diligent in its recruitment of Brenham (Texas) Blinn College safety Tevin Broussard. Because of the Roadrunners' efforts, Broussard rewarded them with a commitment, even with a pair of Big 12 offers in hand.
The 6-foot-1, 192-pound prospect chose UTSA over offers from Kansas State, Texas Tech, Texas State and Southeastern Louisiana on Monday.
Broussard cited his bond with receivers coach Tony Jeffery, who recruited him for the Roadrunners. UTSA has been on Broussard since last spring and he felt comfortable with the campus. The Roadrunners cinched the deal with a recent in-home visit by Jeffery to Broussard's parents.
