Three-star offensive tackle Clay Rhodes (Stilwell, Kan./Blue Valley), like most of Missouri’s offensive commits in the 2013 recruiting class, was shocked to learn of the sudden resignation of offensive coordinator David Yost. Rhodes, the No. 3 player in the state of Kansas, first got word about Yost via social media.
While feelings of shock and disbelief first hit Rhodes, he now has accepted the departure and is looking to move on. What Rhodes refused to do, however, is decommit. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound tackle said his commitment to the Tigers is solid, and he confirmed that after taking his official visit to Columbia, Mo., over the weekend.
“It was a great experience being able to hang with all the players,” said Rhodes, who had freshman offensive lineman Evan Boehm as a player host. “You can ask them anything and develop relationships that will last a long time. It was great.
