COPPERAS COVE, Texas -- Following a win in Saturday’s C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl, junior college offensive tackle and Arkansas commit Zach Fondal (Corsicana, Texas/Navarro College) cleared the air in regards to his current recruiting process.
Fondal, a 6-foot-5, 290-pound sophomore, committed to the Razorbacks in September. With interim coach John L. Smith not returning next season, Fondal said that while he’s still committed, he’s monitoring the coaching situation and keeping his options open.
“I’m a soft commit right now,” Fondal said. “I’m looking at a couple of schools, but for the time being, I’m still committed.
