Athlete Deion Sanders Jr. (Dawsonville, Ga./The Atlanta Sports Academy), the son of Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, announced Tuesday afternoon via social media that he has verbally committed to SMU.
“Did my time at prep school. Now I can say I am committed to SMU (Southern Methodist University) to play receiver!” tweeted Sanders, a 2012 Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus High School graduate who participated in the Under Armour All-America Game in January. He then followed the tweet with a “PonyUp” hashtag.
