Javon Jones (Mesquite, Texas/Mesquite) aspires to be the prototype hybrid linebacker/defensive end -- so much that he likes to joke about who his parents are.
“I call D. Ware my daddy, and Von is my stepdaddy,” said Jones, whose favorite pro athletes are linebackers DeMarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys and Von Miller of the Denver Broncos.
“I’m a hybrid. I can play low in a four-man front or high in a linebacker position, kind of like DeMarcus and Von.”
