Four-star defensive lineman Gaius Vaenuku (Euless, Texas/Trinity) took an unofficial visit to Utah over the weekend and left the Pac-12 school with a new level of respect.
Vaenuku, who was on his second unofficial in as many weeks, said he enjoyed the Rice-Eccles Stadium atmosphere as Utah downed Washington State 49-6. He was one of 45,069 in attendance.
“The atmosphere, to me, kind of reminded me of Trinity,” Vaenuku, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound athlete who can play both defensive end and defensive tackle. “There are a lot of Polynesians there.”
