If Rashard Higgins (Mesquite, Texas/Mesquite) continues to play the way he’s been, he might end up as one of the biggest steals out of the Lone Star State.
A 6-foot-2, 168-pound receiver, Higgins has 58 catches for 1,015 yards and nine touchdowns through nine games, all victories, for Mesquite. In last Friday’s 51-9 win over Tyler (Texas) Lee, Higgins caught four passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns.
With his offensive production, however, Higgins only has one offer, from FCS McNeese State. Louisiana-Monroe is the only FBS school currently showing legitimate interest.
