Brock Broughton (Kearney, Mo./Kearney) has the kind of rushing stats every high school wishes for and every scout notices. The 2014 running back has yet to rush for fewer than 90 yards in nine games this year.
Broughton’s productivity has equated into rising interest and a budding recruiting process. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound back is getting looks from Missouri, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Colorado and Florida State, and he took in Tulsa over the weekend for the Golden Hurricane’s homecoming.
“It was an unofficial visit, so I didn’t get a lot of one-on-one time with the coaches, but I thought it was really good,” Broughton said. “It was their homecoming game, so it was a pretty big game for them. It seems like all the coaches have bought in to what they’re doing.
