Junior wide receiver Fonzale Davis (Dallas/South Oak Cliff) isn’t the kind of player who says much to anyone outside of his circle. As a football player, he prefers to let his game speak for itself -- and his game is a proverbial chatter box.
Davis’ 25 catches for 468 yards and seven touchdowns speak volumes for a SOC team that is undefeated through seven games and enjoying one of its best seasons in over a decade. He and junior quarterback Kenneth Arthur II have formed one of the better 2014 offensive tandems in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“Honestly, I’m just trying to make it,” said Davis, who caught four passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-14 win against Dallas Carter last week. “I make sure to get open so [Arthur] can get the ball to me. We have pretty good chemistry.”
