The numbers wide receiver Trae Hart (Dallas/First Baptist) are putting up are scary. Through eight games, Hart has 72 receptions for 1,327 yards and 20 touchdowns. Statistically, he turns every fourth reception into a touchdown.
Even scarier is that he’s a Class of 2014 prospect. A transfer from North Mesquite High School (Mesquite, Texas), Hart still has another year to connect with First Baptist quarterback Max Partlo, another junior.
Hart, a 5-foot-11, 155-pound receiver, has found a home as a primary target in First Baptist’s pass-happy offense after playing for a North Mesquite team that loves to run the ball. He had only nine catches for 102 yards and a touchdown as a sophomore at North Mesquite.
