Class of 2014 Kennan Samuel (McKinney, Texas/McKinney) is a 6-foot, 225-pound defensive end for his high school team, but once he fills out, look for colleges to see him as a contributor at several positions.
Samuel has the build of a linebacker and the quickness to play both inside and outside. He plays defensive end at McKinney because of his pass-rushing ability. Samuel has been relatively consistent with his play, and he’s hoping that consistency will result in a scholarship offer.
Samuel said he has been hearing regularly from schools such as Iowa, Florida State, Boise State, Missouri and Mississippi State. He describes himself as a smart player with quick hands and feet and, most importantly, someone who is looking to become an even better defender.
