Torri Hunter Jr.: Pro roots, Irish pride

If there was one player ecstatic about the commitment of the son of a famous pro athlete, it was the son of another famous pro athlete.
Notre Dame commit and three-star wide receiver Corey Robinson (San Antonio/San Antonio Christian) first found out about ESPN 150 receiver Torii Hunter Jr.'s commitment to the Fighting Irish while taking a tour during his official visit to South Bend, Ind., on Sunday. It was music to the ears of the 6-foot-5, 200-pound receiver who had a chance to bond with Hunter over the summer at The Opening.
“I was on a golf cart, and I saw on Twitter that he was a part of the Irish mob,” Robinson said. “He’s a really cool guy. He’s focused on academics and life after football. When he committed, I was so excited.”
