CYPRESS, Texas -- Boise State's starting running back, D.J. Harper, is a graduate of Cypress (Texas) Creek High. The Broncos are once again looking into the Houston area for a difference-maker at that position.
Cypress (Texas) Ridge running back Rennie Childs said he's been in touch with Boise State lately and wants to visit this fall if he receives an offer. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound back holds two offers and is receiving more interest following a big start to his senior season.
"My recruiting is going really well," Childs said. "I have offers from Texas State and UTSA. One guy committed to Rice, so I don't have an offer from them anymore. But Boise State is looking at me and Houston is, too."
