The first official visit for defensive back Trevor Walker (Arlington, Texas/Mansfield Timberview) seemed to set the bar very high for the other schools recruiting him.
Walker, a three-star safety, traveled to Boise, Idaho, for a weekend trip to Boise State -- his only official visit currently set up. Walker, recruited by linebackers coach Bob Gregory, said he enjoyed everything about the visit -- from the 39-12 victory over Miami (Ohio) to the time spent with the coaching staff and members of the team.
“It was a good trip. I would give it a nine (out of 10),” Walker said. “I learned a lot about them. Boise recruits a certain type of player. If you’re a top corner or safety, and if you have a cocky attitude, they’re going to back off you. That’s how Coach [Chris] Petersen is. He doesn’t want that kind of cancer on his team. I like that about them.”
