Offer No. 7 is in for rising athlete Lamar Jordan (Frisco, Texas/Centennial), and it’s his first SEC offer.
Jordan said he picked up an offer today from Arkansas. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete, who plays quarterback for Centennial, took an unofficial visit to Arkansas two weeks ago and will make a return trip Saturday to Fayetteville, Ark., for another unofficial, as the Razorbacks host Alabama.
“I love the environment and program they have, as well as the academics I can receive from the university,” said Jordan, who added that he is being recruited as a wide receiver by Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino. “The coaches said they’ll set up an official when I go up there.”
Jordan, who also recently picked up an offer from Division II Lindenwood (Mo.), has additional BCS offers from New Mexico, Rice, Texas State, Air Force and Navy.
