Brice Gunter still solid with Texas State

After scoring a road win against Houston two weekends ago in its very first game as an FBS program, Texas State was humbled at home Saturday by Texas Tech.
One player who didn’t look at the 58-10 loss to the Red Raiders sideways is their highest-rated commitment, ESPN 300 receiver Brice Gunter (Stephenville, Texas/Stephenville). The four-star prospect made the trip with teammate and fellow Texas State commit Tyler Jones, as well as their fathers, and said he enjoyed the environment of the FBS’ newest competitor.
“The atmosphere was great,” Gunter said, “and the buzz they talked about was definitely there.”
