2014 quarterback Desmon White (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) often times is the smallest player on the football field. White’s goal for 2012 is to make certain that his size -- or lack thereof -- is irrelevant when DeSoto’s games are over.
Mission accomplished for DeSoto’s first game, as White led the Eagles to a 37-14 win against Arlington (Texas) Martin on Friday. He threw for 188 yards and a touchdown, rushed for 175 and two touchdowns and managed a DeSoto offense that recorded 469 yards of total offense.
Pretty impressive outing for a 5-foot-7, 145-pound quarterback.
