Three-star cornerback Will Earley (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite) has set up two official visits and is in the process of addressing a third.
Earley will visit Arizona State on Sept. 21 and Ole Miss on Oct. 5. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback also is looking to take an official to Tennessee, but nothing has been set.
Earley has six offers, the latest coming from New Mexico last week. Ole Miss has offered, but Arizona State and Tennessee both are showing high interest.
“They’re going to wait on some film,” West Mesquite recruiting coordinator Kyle Ward said of Tennessee. “Arizona State hasn’t offered, but they were adamant on him coming up.”
Earley said he will not make any decisions until he takes all of his official visits, and he’s planning on setting five trips. He has a definite interest in the three aforementioned schools, but he also is considering the offers from TCU, Colorado, UNLV, North Texas and New Mexico.
“Two are SEC,” Earley said, referring to Ole Miss and Tennessee, “but I just fit perfectly in all their schemes.”
Whichever school picks up Earley will get a shutdown corner who ran the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds at the Texas A&M satellite camp in DeSoto, Texas. Earley also has received interest from Texas Tech, Texas A&M and Colorado State.
