For Sergio Phillips (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto), football wasn’t the only factor when it came time to make a college decision.
The three-star offensive lineman had bigger things in mind when he gave his verbal pledge to San Diego State on Monday.
“One reason I chose them is they have my major -- criminal justice -- and that plays a big part in what I want to do in college,” Phillips said. “I want to be on the SWAT team.”
