Fresh off a milestone victory over Oklahoma, Baylor is a big topic of discussion in college football, and Robert Griffin III has re-emerged as a major candidate for the Heisman trophy.
With all that, four-star offensive lineman Kyle Fuller (Wylie, Texas/Wylie) has had a fairly eventful weekend. Baylor’s win added to Fuller’s commitment on Friday, as Fuller became the Bears’ 19th commitment.
Fuller selected Baylor out of 20 offers from schools nationwide, including Arizona, Purdue, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and North Carolina. Fuller said Baylor, Virginia, West Virginia and Wake Forest made his final list.
“Mainly it was the attitude of coaching staff,” Fuller said of Baylor. “They have coaches who are behind you in athletics and academics. To me, academics is No. 1. I’ve learned there is life after football.”
Fuller, who wants to pursue a career in sports marketing or sports law following graduation, was recruited by assistant coach Jim Gush. At 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, most likely will line up at tackle for the Bears.
