After an unofficial visit to Purdue on Tuesday, wide receiver Myles Norwood (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep) saw all that he needed to become the Boilermakers’ seventh commitment of the 2013 recruiting class.
Norwood verbally committed to Purdue on Wednesday and became the team’s first wide receiver commit. A 6-foot-2, 175-pound receiver, Norwood Wednesday evening tweeted the following message: “Boiler Up. Hammer Down.”
Norwood was Grace Prep’s leader in receiving yards and touchdowns, snagging 47 balls for 1,010 yards and 16 touchdowns. He averaged better than 21 yards per catch and helped Grace Prep advance to the TAPPS Division II area playoffs.
