Now that Ranthony Texada (Frisco, Texas/Centennial) has narrowed his 19 offers to a final list of six, the hard part starts.
The three-star cornerback said he will choose among SMU, TCU, Baylor, Iowa State, Illinois and Western Kentucky, and he has given a target date of the end of next month. Texada, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound cornerback and special teams returner, said he is looking for a school where he feels the most comfortable that also can balance quality academics with a coaching staff geared to winning.
“All six of those schools are ones I’ve been talking to for a while,” Texada said. “Every place, I’m kind of familiar with, and I feel like I can fit in and contribute. It was tough narrowing it down to those six, but I’m happy with my picks.”
