Three-star offensive tackle Simon Goines (Keller, Texas/Central) early Friday afternoon denied reports that he has parted ways with Missouri and said he is still committed to the future SEC school.
Goines, 6-foot-8 and 298 pounds, admitted that he is considering weighing other options, as he would like to play more games in Texas. Missouri’s move from the Big 12 to the SEC would mean no more conference games against Texas, Baylor and Texas Tech, schools that are short drives away from his family in Keller.
“I said I might [decommit], and I don’t know what happened after that,” Goines said. “I haven’t yet, just thinking about it. I’m not going to do anything until I finish my season.”
