Per his high school recruiting coordinator, 2014 wide receiver Nick Alexander (Lancaster, Texas) has picked up his first offer – and it's a big one.
Alexander grabbed an offer from Oklahoma on Tuesday, according to Lancaster coach Joey Foster, after attending the Sooners camp over the weekend in Norman. Alexander, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver, was a noticeable camp standout after making big catches and performing well against quality defensive backs. He showed nice speed and great hands throughout the camp.
With a talented group of receivers ahead of him, Alexander only had three catches for 50 yards during the 2011 season. One of those catches, however, was a 33-yard touchdown pass in a district game against Terrell (Texas). More recently, Alexander has shown his worth during the spring and with Lancaster’s 7-on-7 team.
LSU and Oklahoma State are two other teams that have been looking at Alexander, who is establishing himself as a red-zone option because of his size and strength.
