Offer No. 6 for TCU came less than 12 hours after offer No. 5 was made official. The fifth and sixth offers have given the Horned Frogs their potential tight ends of the future.
After Bryson Burtnett (Springtown, Texas/Springtown) committed to TCU late Tuesday evening, fellow tight end Charlie Reid (Fort Worth, Texas/All Saints Episcopal) gave his verbal pledge to the Horned Frogs Wednesday morning. Recruited by co-offensive coordinator Jarrett Anderson, Reid chose TCU over offers from UCLA, Ole Miss and Utah.
“He was pumped,” Reid said of Anderson. “I went up there two days ago and pretty much told him what my plan was. I told him and Coach [Gary] Patterson that that was my plan. They were both excited.”
