Germod Williams (Conroe, Texas/Oak Ridge) now officially has options.
The rising defensive back, nicknamed "Shreveport" because he was born and raised in Shreveport, La., picked up an offer from Rice on Monday, his second offer overall. A 6-foot, 185-pound safety with 4.42-second speed in the 40-yard dash, Williams scored his first offer at the beginning of the month from Texas State.
Recruited by Rice receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Billy Lynch, Williams said his film impressed the coaching staff, including defensive coordinator Chris Thurmond.
