Offensive lineman Baylen Brown (Helotes, Texas/O’Connor) announced via Twitter that he has verbally committed to Texas Tech.

Brown, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound guard, chose the Red Raiders over offers from Oklahoma State and Houston. Recruited by offensive line coach Chris Thomsen, Brown became the eighth member of Texas Tech’s 2013 recruiting class.
