Three-star offensive tackle Jake Campos (West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley) confirmed Thursday morning that he has verbally committed to Missouri.
A 6-foot-7, 250-pound tackle, Campos chose Missouri over offers from Iowa State and Iowa. Campos also had offers from Oregon, Kansas State, Illinois and a few other programs.
Recruited by offensive line coaches Bruce Walker and Josh Henson, Campos said his decision came down to one thing.
“It’s just the school I was most comfortable with,” he said. “I was seriously looking at a lot of schools, but [Iowa State] was second, and Iowa was up there, too. It was a very close decision.”
Campos is Missouri’s 12th commitment of the 2013 class and only the Tigers’ third out-of-state commitment. He is ranked No. 38 among offensive tackles nationally.
