ESPNU150 Watch List safety George Baltimore never had the chance to meet former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino in person, but don’t expect Baltimore to be one of those recruits who completely writes off the Razorbacks.
Baltimore, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound defensive back, has high interest in Arkansas, along with Texas Tech, TCU, Michigan State, Baylor and several other schools. All of those schools, in addition to Vanderbilt, Arizona State, SMU, Kansas, Purdue and North Texas have offered. Baltimore said Arkansas currently has an issue to address, and the adversity doesn’t affect how he looks at the program overall.
“At every school, something is going on,” Baltimore said. “We're all human, but you always want to meet the man in charge of everything, which is kind of a disappointment now.”
Baltimore, who was featured in a Tuesday ESPN RecruitingNation story, said he will begin narrowing down schools after spring ball. Baltimore has 76 tackles, 13 pass breakups and seven interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns, during the 2011 season.
