His Twitter account had hinted a potential commitment to Baylor all weekend, and ESPNU 150 Watch List receiver Quan Jones (Wylie, Texas/Wylie East) made it official Monday night.
Jones, a 6-foot-4, 201-pound receiver, verbally committed to Baylor and became the Bears’ fifth commitment of the 2013 recruiting class. He chose Baylor over offers from Texas Tech, Tennessee, Purdue, Michigan State and several other schools.
“When I went down to the pro day [last week], I knew,” Jones said of his decision. “After that, I felt like it was home. I feel like a lot of stress is off me.”
