Running back Johnny Jefferson (Killeen, Texas/Shoemaker) is verbally committed to Texas A&M -- at least for now.
Jefferson said that while the Aggies are still No. 1 in his heart, he is calling his commitment a soft verbal until he gets a chance to check out additional options that are available. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound junior said he received some guidance from a special family member, and he’s going to take the advice.
“My grandmother always would tell me not to be so close-minded. She said to explore all my options around me,” Jefferson said. “I’m still committed, but I just want to look around and see what else is out there before I make that hard commit.”
