J.J. Gustafson becomes Texas A&M's 13th

Texas A&M’s amazing weekend of picking up 2013 recruits has spilled over into Monday.

ESPNU Watch List offensive lineman J.J. Gustafson (Dallas/Jesuit) verbally committed to the Aggies and head coach Kevin Sumlin on Monday morning. Gustafson became the 13th member of the A&M recruiting class for 2013 and the seventh commitment since Saturday afternoon.

Gustafson’s Twitter page read “Gig ‘Em” on Monday and he confirmed the commitment via text message. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle recently visited A&M and had a chance to talk with Sumlin and offensive line coach B.J. Anderson. The unofficial visit took the place of A&M’s junior day, which occurred Saturday.

“I went to check out the campus and meet with the coaches,” Gustafson told HornsNation’s Max Olson late last week. “They showed me around one on one. I would say I had my best visit at Texas A&M, because of the family feel of the school and the tradition there is a rich as anywhere else.”

Gustafson chose A&M over offers from Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Nebraska. He became the Aggies’ third offensive tackle to commit over the weekend.
