Texas A&M picked up its fourth commitment of Saturday when under-the-radar offensive tackle Joas Aguilar (North Richland Hills, Texas/Birdville) announced his verbal pledge.
Aguilar (6-foot-5, 295 pounds) visited A&M for Saturday’s junior day and enjoyed the visit -- but enjoyed the offer even more. He spoke with Birdville coach Jim Skinner after the visit.
“He did commit,” Skinner confirmed, “and he said he liked the trip. He said he liked all the coaches, and he liked the situation.
“He’s a good athlete, and this is a great situation for him. I think he’ll do a great job.”
Aguilar was a first-team all-district selection as a junior. He became the Aggies' ninth commitment of the 2013 recruiting class and the second offensive lineman.
