Running back Joseph Glenn (Giddings, Texas) has the look of a college back. He’s 5-foot-10, 195 pounds, quick as a cat, deceptively strong and full of potential. He showed his worth during the 2011 season, rushing for 1,514 yards and accounting for 27 total touchdowns -- 24 on the ground.
Wake Forest offered Glenn after the 2011 season, but he is hoping to build his offer list with a productive spring. Glenn won’t be taking any trips this weekend, as he will take the SAT, but he said he plans on visiting Texas Tech and Texas A&M soon. Tech has been showing the most interest, Glenn said, but he also is getting early looks from Baylor and TCU.
Glenn fared well at the U.S. Army national combine last month in San Antonio, using his speed to frustrate defenders in various 1-on-1 drills. Glenn has been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.47 seconds. Glenn added that he is finalizing junior day appearances around the state.
