Navarro College (Corsicana, Texas) has a new head coach in Brian Mayper. When Nick Bobeck left the junior college power to take the head coaching position at Division II Central Oklahoma, Navarro was still left with assistant coaches and ace recruiters Cody Crill and Andrae Rowe, and the program benefitted by signing 27 to the 2012 class Wednesday.

Here are five of the 27 signees to keep an eye on for the 2012 season:

  • OT Tim Hines (Bryan, Texas): A four-star athlete, Hines was once committed to Oklahoma State but decommitted in October. At 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds, Hines has great size, athleticism and explosiveness off the line to be an instant success on the junior college level and beyond. He is ranked No. 39 among offensive tackles in the country and No. 53 among players in Texas.
  • RB Tim Wright (La Marque, Texas): Wright had offers from Texas A&M, Baylor, Missouri and Kansas State, and he strongly considered A&M before choosing the juco route. A 5-foot-10, 185-pound, three-star athlete, Wright led La Marque to a state title his junior year. As a season, he rushed for 1,835 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is ranked No. 62 among running backs nationally.
