Nigel Robertson (Dallas/Skyline) has switched his commitment from Central Arkansas to Sam Houston State, according to Skyline recruiting coordinator Jason R. Garrett.
Robertson, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound linebacker, chose the Bearkats over interest from Navy and Nebraska, in addition to his offer from Central Arkansas. Earlier in his recruiting process, Robertson received early interest from Colorado State, Iowa State and Indiana, among other schools.
"He thought it was a better fit academically," Garrett said of Robertson, "and the majority of that nationally ranked team will return."
Sam Houston was 14-1 and advanced to the FCS championship game for the 2011 season.
