On June 2, Kentucky picked up its first junior college prospect of the 2014 class in cornerback Shyquawn Pullium (Erie, Pa./Blinn College). Three days, the Wildcats were able to land one of Pullium’s good friends and teammates.
Outside linebacker Ryan Flannigan verbally committed to Kentucky and became the Wildcats’ 11th commit of the 2014 class. Originally from Missouri City, Texas, Flannigan chose Kentucky over offers from Arizona State, Texas Tech, Cincinnati and Houston.
Several factors led to Flannigan’s decision. In addition to playing in the same defense as Pullium, Flannigan said that the opportunity for immediate playing time in the SEC weighed strongly.
