U.S. Army All-Americans Michael Starts (Waco, Texas/La Vega) and Dominique Wheeler (Crockett, Texas), two players on the West roster, confirmed Thursday that they are both very solid with their commitments to Texas Tech.
Starts, a four-star tackle, hurt his left shoulder during Tuesday’s practice and did not suit up Thursday. His status for Saturday’s game is uncertain, but he said the injury was just a bruise and he did not have any broken bones or ligament damage.
“I’m solid with Tech. That’s where I’m going to be the next four or five years,” he said.
