Often times, the last official visit for a player turns out to be the decider. Such was the case for junior college defensive end Parker Holloway (Athens, Texas/Trinity Valley Community College).
Holloway took a trip to UNLV over the weekend, and the 6-foot-4, 240-pound college sophomore decided to continue his football career with the Rebels. He committed to UNLV on Sunday and signed a national letter of intent with the Rebels on Wednesday, the first day a junior college mid-year transfer can sign.
The glamour and glitz of Vegas had an effect on Holloway for about an hour. It was everything else that the city and campus had to offer that won him over. Holloway said the hospitality of senior defensive lineman James Dunlap, his host for the trip, helped him to make his decision.
