Muhammad a huge get for Miami

With limited scholarships available, the Miami Hurricanes had to focus much of their recruiting efforts on improving one of the worst defenses in the history of the program.

The commitment of ESPN 150 defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad (Ramsey, N.J./Don Bosco) will give the Hurricanes a major upgrade along the defensive line and could prove to be the biggest commitment the program will get during this recruiting cycle.

In 2012 Miami struggled in most facets of defense, and generating a pass rush is the quickest way to improve a secondary that was left on an island too often during the season.
