Dashawn Darden (Springfield, Pa./Cardinal O’Hara) is just down the road from Temple, and he made it to his first Owls game Saturday.
“It went well. I enjoyed myself a lot,” said the 2014 dual-threat quarterback.
After he talked with several Owls coaches, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound Darden indicated that Temple sees him on the defensive side of the ball.
“They were just telling me to send them my highlight tape, and I would probably most likely be recruited as a cornerback,” Darden said.
While he liked what he saw over the course of his entire visit, he was happy to talk with the players after the game despite the loss. The players raved to Darden about the school and second-year coach Steve Addazio's program.
“[The players said] it’s a good school, and it’s a family and everyone is so cool and nice,” said Darden, who plans to visit West Virginia on Nov. 17 when it hosts Oklahoma.
