Glassboro (N.J.) running back Corey Clement is committed to Pittsburgh, but the ESPN 300 running back is looking around. He took his second official visit this past weekend, and this one went to Notre Dame.
Clement's visit lasted until Monday afternoon, and the coaches preached to him the value of a Notre Dame degree.
"Throughout it all that really kept standing out was what a ND degree can hold!" he wrote in a text message.
That's not to say the game-day atmosphere in South Bend did not leave him in awe. Clement, who is his school's all-time leading rusher with more than 4,200 yards, was impressed with what he saw from the Notre Dame faithful.
"Great football atmosphere as well loved the fans," he wrote.
Nebraska received an official visit on college football's opening weekend, and Clement, No. 194 in the ESPN 300, will visit Wisconsin Oct. 19.
"I would say every college is still in a mutual standpoint," he wrote. "The process still goes on."
He does not have any potential visit plans in the works aside from his scheduled Wisconsin visit. He originally was planning to visit Wisconsin Sept. 14.
