Clairton (Pa.) athlete Tyler Boyd has been talking with Notre Dame for a few weeks now, and on Monday the Fighting Irish came through with an offer, Boyd wrote in a text message to ESPN.com.
Fellow Hoosier State program Purdue also offered Boyd, who now has 11 offers. Other notable offers include Arizona, Penn State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Boyd said last week that West Virginia is his early favorite but he is still considering every school.
A two-way star at receiver and safety, Boyd helped Clairton to a state championship in December. In the championship game, Boyd reeled off two long runs in the fourth quarter to lift the Bears to the title.
