Ohio State has been grabbing headlines recently, but Michigan State is closing strong with a little more than 24 hours to go until signing day.
At a live news conference on Pittsburgh station KDKA-TV on Monday evening, four-star safety Demetrious Cox (Jeannette, Pa./Jeannette) committed to Michigan State, giving the Spartans two four-star commitments since Sunday.
Cox chose Michigan State over fellow finalists Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin. He officially cut Notre Dame and Pittsburgh over the weekend.
