The paths of Western New York's top two recruits in the Class of 2012 will cross tonight when four-star quarterback Chad Kelly leads St. Joe's against three-star running back Akeel Lynch and St. Francis in the Monsignor Martin Association championship game at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Kelly committed to Clemson and is holding firm to that commitment. Lynch committed to Boston College, but is clearly still on the market.
“Yes he did commit to BC, but that situation seems to be changing,” St. Francis coach Jerry Smith said. “It's real fluid over there. He is entertaining other places. I think BC is still in the mix, but he just wants to make sure that's where he wants to go. He committed so early (last July), and a lot can change during one season.”
