On Saturday, ESPN 300 athlete Tyler Boyd (Clairton, Pa./Clairton) committed to the Panthers during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, giving Pitt two of its top three Western Pennsylvania’s targets.
The addition of Boyd is a big one for the Panthers, who missed out on ESPN 150 receiver Robert Foster two weeks ago. The Panthers were hoping to pair both Boyd and Foster, who picked Alabama, at receiver, but they will settle for Boyd and Belle Vernon (Pa.) Area offensive tackle Dorian Johnson, the No. 2 tackle nationally.
