Rutgers extended an offer to Tyrone Washington (Paramus, N.J./Paramus Catholic) toward the end of his sophomore year. He will have a litany of offers by the time he graduates in 2014.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver, who also has a UMass offer, already likes what he seems from Rutgers and what first-year coach Kyle Flood is doing in Piscataway.
“Rutgers has me really impressed this year,” Washington said. “To be No. 15 in the country [in the BCS rankings], I didn’t expect it at all.”
