Rico McGraw has a decision to make. Lucky for him, the 2015 prospect has time.
There's no hurry for the sophomore cornerback from Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth to commit. That's why he's taking in the college experience, as well as local colleges.
"It was great. Great atmosphere," McGraw said of his visit to Vanderbilt this weekend.
McGraw wasn't dismayed by Vandy's 31-17 loss to Florida on Saturday. The Commodores are 2-4 and 1-3 in the SEC.
"Even though they didn't win they competed with a top-10 team in the nation as promised," McGraw said. "The way coach [James] Franklin has turned this program around is really impressing me."
McGraw has plenty of options. He can choose a school more based on academics or athletics.
"I would weigh it more solely on a traditional football school," McGraw said. "Academics will come with any school that I choose but I will lean towards a school with a strong academic core regardless."
Winning seems to be key for McGraw, who was offered his first scholarship by Alabama this summer before other schools came calling.
"I want to come in, play, win and contend for a national championship," McGraw said.
